Civic Action is typically an assortment of assistance projects provided to villagers under armed attacks by criminal gangs, terrorists, narco-terrorists, and/or insurgents. Services
for such efforts are typically delivered by laws enforcement and/or military units seeking to
provide security for such populations. Results from prior Civic Action projects confirmed
that in exchange for such help, villagers assisted provided warning of pending attacks, by a
hostile element, to those counterterrorism units providing assistance. I used Civic Action
for my Village Defense Project, in S. Vietnam, and received such benefits from the villagers
assisted. In addition, I wrote a "Civic Action Field Guide," for U. S. Marines in Vietnam. I was advised by the Marine Commander that his Marines were always warned of pending enemy attacks before they happened. Warnings came from villagers assisted.
To plan Civic Action efforts, target area villages are surveyed to see what critical needs they have so assistance programs may be planned to help those villagers. Typical findings show most rural and tribal villagers needs a supply of potable water, sanitation facilities. safe grain storage, health care, and biochar, as a soil amendment, to end the need to buy farm fertilizers. There are also specialized needs such as entrepreneurship training and funds for new business starts, cottage industry support, livestock shelters, crop irrigation systems or improvements, seeds, tools, and assorted support items.
My charity, NPI, provides Civic Action training and support to law enforcement and military units in many developing nations with village populations under an array of armed attacks.
Civic Action helps to improve global security.
