USAID FAILS

The U, S. Agency for Intl. Development (USAID) was terminated by POTUS Trump due to its many failures. Critical programs of USAID were transferred to the U. S. Dept. of State.

Priorities for USAID were to assist developing nations with emergency food relief, health and sanitation efforts, agricultural development, new business starts, safe housing, green energy, security assistance and help with basic needs. The original charter, for USAID was somewhat like the Marshall Plan the U. S. used to help Europe recover after World War II.

USAID failed due to waste, mismanagement, corruption, unjustified grants, poor oversight, no follow-up, and focus over the last few years on "woke" programs. Our taxpayer dollars were being expended on support for Trans opera, Trans comic books, Ice skating for drag queens, condom distribution, DEI programs, LGBTQ promotion, social media, and totally an assortment of misallocated grants to include support for Islamic terrorists.

When I worked, in 1959-61, to help create a model for the Peace Corps, at POTUS JFKs request, I assisted USAID with some of its agricultural development projects in South Vietnam. My two projects for them were a Murrah Buffalo Dairy and a Cattle Ranch. In those days, USAID staff did not do much travel outside of Saigon since communist forces were hunting Americans. Our Peace Corps model was being created by 20 recent college graduates contracted to an NGO, Intl. Voluntary Services - Vietnam, responsible for creating and demonstrating this new model that JFK wanted.

My problem with USAID, when on the above efforts in Vietnam, was that they did not provide any survival training for USAID staff or the IVS-Volunteers working on creating the Peace Corps model. Seven of the 20 volunteers were killed in communist ambushes. I realized this risk and arranged for my personal survival training from a Vietnamese friend, Chi, who had been the commander of Viet forces fighting the Japanese occupation forces, in Vietnam, during World War II. To return Chi's favor, I was helping him resettle Catholic Viets the communist government of North Vietnam had deported from that nation.

Corruption has always proven to be infectious and usually causes horrific damages!!!!!!!
