POLITICAL POLARIZATION

The U. S. Congress, lacking term limits for members has become much like a typical retirement home with more representatives there for personal gain than public service. The two parties, Democrat and Republican are often in gridlock and dysfunctional. Insider trades are a major focus, along with "pay-to-play" games, and fund raising. Political polarization has brought us to consider consequences of our becoming a failing state. What is clearly needed
are combinations of psychological, systemic, and leadership solutions along with term limits and restrictions on insider trading as well as said political games.
In addition, Congressional regulatory changes are needed to enforce the following:
1) Create common goals, reduce animosity, and de-escalate conflicts.
2) Vote policy lines, not party lines and enforce upholding rule of law.
3) Require the exploration of issues and solutions from all aspects.
4) Enforce sustained intergroup contact between Democrats and Republicans.
5) End dislike, distrust, and support for political violence.
6) Expel members who seek to promote subversive ideologies; e. g. radical socialism and communism.
7) End the us vs. them dynamic and promote national identity.
8) Seek a cooperative and less polarized political environment.
9) Avoid creation of massive debts for our future generations and thereby risk economic collapse.
10) Require cooperation on national security issues endangering our nation.
In addition, illegal voting must be deterred and political manipulation ended to include the policies of voter fraud, gerrymandering, and importation of illegals. Deter increased benefits to illegals, by one party, to solicit votes for political candidates representing that party. We
have witnessed such political gaming under the Democrat's open border policy, by our POTUS Joe Biden. This has been followed by the Democrat's political actions to give illegal migrants every possible benefit to get them to vote for Democratic candidates in our future elections (my opinion).
Unless most of the above changes are made, the U. S. may soon become a failing state.
