The MIC (Military-Industrial Complex) is a potential source of harm as warned by POTUS Eisenhower. His fear was that cooperation of military "brass", weapons manufacturing corp. execs, corrupt politicians, and lobbyists would work to keep the U. S. in a near constant state of wars. The other fear, Eisenhower disclosed, was that when wars occurred there would be an excessive use of conventional means requiring massive amounts of weapons to increase conflict profitability for weapons manufacturers. Thus, an out-of-control MIC would threaten global stability and harm our fiscal responsibility both further threatened by "revolving doors" of "key" people holding high paying positions in the various MIC entities, at different times.

I witnessed the sated MIC threat in Vietnam as I saw a Viet civil war transformed into a shooting event based on our Cold War fears. In addition, the U. S. conducted heavy bombing of North Vietnam when NVN had no strategic targets to destroy. There were also extensive use of artillery strikes and bombing of the jungle at a time communist forces were in their well prepared and protective underground bunkers. The neutral jungle was declared an enemy because our troops did not know how to effectively operate in the jungle. Very many

millions of dollars were used to kill the jungle and wildlife by spaying with Agent Orange. This herbicide contained dioxin harming the environment and long damaging the health of every person exposed to dioxin residue. Least, but not last, the U. S. tried to win an unconventional

war by less effective and far more costly conventional warfare.

The U. S. attacked Iraq using false claims that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction posing a threat to the U. S. In an early stage of developing such weapons, by Iraq, Israel had reported they had destroyed same in bombing raids. An MIC combination pushed to rush the U. S. to attack Iraq with confirming if Iraq still had and planned to use weapons of mass destruction against us. In Afghanistan, we used expensive conventional warfare to attack the tribal Taliban terrorists supported by Pakistan and protected in mountain caves.

in Afghanistan, only unconventional warfare means and political action on Pakistan might have resulted in a win for the U. S. Instead, the U. S. was defeated by the Taliban.

As the nature of current conflict has changed to "drone warfare," the U. S. is using million dollar missiles to down a $4,000 drone on the attack by a terrorist group such as the Houthis based in Yemen. Thus, we now seem to lack any economy of weapons scale needed to be able to long sustain this new pattern of warfare. Once again, the MIC may only be promoting forms of warfare and weapons they can make the most money from.

Many nations have failed because of their own corruption and lack of effective means to deter harmful wrong-doing!!!
