IMMIGRATION OPTIONS

Most nations do not offer their citizens the freedoms or economic opportunities we have in the U. S. Over 2 billion of the world's current 8 billion people are living in poverty and some 1.4 billion would like to move to our nation if they could find a way to do so. We already have major & damaging problems trying to deal with the estimated 18 million illegal migrants who came to the U. S. under POTUS Biden's open borders policy. In trying to deport criminals, mental cases, and terrorists among these illegals Many of these illegals are being sheltered by sanctuary cities and states for political reasons.
Legal options to come to the U. S. are complex, slow, expensive, and frustrating. Now, the potential seekers of visas to come here may not apply if they live in "black-listed" nations w/ some indicated desire to harm the U. S. Recent policies of allowing migrants not to integrate have caused problems. An example is the Somali, mostly Muslim migrants, who were given the opportunity to create an isolated community, in Minnesota. From here a number of these Somali engaged in scam operations to obtain welfare funds that they sent to the Somali, al-Shabaab, terrorists in Somalia. N. B. The Romans forced the full integration of conquered and diverse populations, and their lengthy national security/ stability is attributed to that fact. We have not learned from this lesson.
The best resettlement of migrants was accomplished, as I have reported, by Gov. Ray of Iowa who resettled a large group of Tai Dam refugees, from Vietnam. Before the arrival of these refugees, he found host American families for each Tai Dam family and also found local employers who would consider offering a job to each arriving Tai Dam male, Within a few months, Gav. Ray obtained land near Des Moines, for the Tai Dam to construct typical Tai Dam housing, plus starting usual cottage industries and farms. The plan was to create a tourist attraction to bring funds to the area and that is what happened.
Compare the above refugee resettlement effort to POTUS Biden's allowing unorganized open entry of illegal migrants who were not vetted in any manner and were not relocated by any organized plan. A number of Americans have been killed by a few of these migrants and several thousands of our youth died from illegal fentanyl drugs illegals brought in with them. Human trafficking also greatly increased under the abuses created by illegal migrants.
Radical Dems have supported all this chaos hoping that they would soon find a way for all the illegals to vote for Dems to create a one-party government for our nation. Dems have
proceeded to give illegal migrants all manner of "freebies" to motivate to vote soonest for Dems seeking political offices.
The U. S. does not have the resources to bring large numbers of migrants here. Yet, if we do not assist developing nations to improve life for their citizens, there will be more suffering, hunger, and armed conflicts resulting primarily from frequent poverty, incompetence, and corruption. What I suggest as a possible solution is for the U. S. to start a "development-type
immigration" program. Under such an effort, groups of foreign nationals would be vetted and recruited to come to the U. S., with families, for 3-years of training in trades, technologies, & leadership. To enter the program, they must agree that upon completion of their training, they
would return to their home countries to help in developing those nations. USAID programs were mostly ended for corruption, and the above suggested effort should be able to do what USAID generally failed to do.
If we fail to help developing nations improve operations and far better provide for their own populations, more unrest as well as armed conflicts should be anticipated.
