More people are gardening at home to grow healthful foods. The intensive, chemical farming, in most of the U. S., kills soil microbes producing all nutrients crops will need.

Farmers thus need to buy and use commercial fertilizers to provide plants grown with required nutrients. The need for soil mineral replacement needs to be ignored. A lack of natural organic nutrients creates nutrient collapse and food crops deficient in these very critical nutrients cause consumers of food crops thus grown to have anemia, chronic and depressing fatigue, less immunity, more infections, and liver problems.

Research at the Univ. of California, Davis, established that organic fruits & vegetables grown with no exposure to chemicals will have an average of 58 percent more of critical polyphenolics required to enhance human immunity. The Rodale Agricultural Research Center research has proven that food crops grown by organic means are more healthful and will actually have higher yields than those crops grown by intensive chemical means.

NPI's own agricultural research has proven that biochar added to farmland soils ends the need for chemical fertilizers. This is because soil microbes take residence in biochar's many cavities and produce all the plant nutrients needed, long term. N. B. 1) If you are not familiar with biochar, see US Biochar Initiative's Biochar Learning Center Website; & 2) When soil tests show soil minerals are deficient, add corrective amounts of crushed basalt or calcium silicate (wollastonite).

The other reason people are motivated to grow their own foods is because not less that 80 percent of commercial foods made from soybeans and corn have glyphosate contamination. Glyphosate is the very toxic chemical Monsanto uses to make its herbicide "Roundup" that most farmers use to kill weeds in their soybean and corn fields. Many nations have made use of Roundup illegal, but in the U. S. Monsanto has reportedly used bribery to sustain the hazardous and health damaging use of this herbicide. Farmers who use Roundup for a few years may find they have cancer from lengthy Roundup exposure.

There seems to be two choices when it comes to having healthful foods to eat: 1) Grow your own; or 2) Join the MAHA (Make America Healthful Again) movement to demand the removal of harmful chemicals from our foods.
