With ever increasing health costs, medical experts suggest every couple should have full genetic testing done before marriage. Such testing can determine if one or both parties, who plan to join in marriage, have a genetic potential of one or more costly diseases; e. g. fibrosis,

sickle cell, Huntington's, or muscular dystrophy. In addition, genetic tests will disclose any mutations that could cause heart disease, diabetes, cancer, or Alzheimer's. Based on test revelations, the couple will then have a much better idea of their compatibility as well as any possible future medical costs. If news is all negative, the couple may, or may not, proceed with their planned wedding. In the event a tested couple decides to marry, with a very high probability of a major disease for one or both, they will know what they should plan for!!

Genetic testing starts with collection of DNA from blood or saliva. DNA is then extracted to confirm proper sequencing and no mutations. An analysis of all factors is then completed for determination of potential problems in any form. Results are presented to the DNA clients, in this case to the prospective partners in marriage. You then have a "roadmap" of possible

health issues later in life!!
