CAREER SELECTION

Work/ career choices today tend to be a cyclic process requiring some change as job markets change due to new technologies and other factors. At each step, you will need to update your values, interests, and skills. Define your goals, identify your alternatives, and determine the pros & cons of each option. Then create a career goal and add two options.
Engage in job shadowing and/or an internship to see how well you like your career/job choice. Network to see how others in that career feel about what they like & dislike about the work they do. Based on what you discover, plan to get the best education and training needed to be successful in your choice of career(s). Adjust your plans as needed to meet job changes due to any cause. Keep track of labor market factors as a cause of any such
change.
In doing all the above you should create and use a realistic self-profile and then carefully evaluate if your profile conflicts, in any way, with your career choice. If you don't seem to fit or have the potential for success in your career choice, consider entrepreneurship training and create your own innovative enterprise you will enjoy. Just make certain your enterprise
will provide a good or service being poorly met or not met at all. That measure of need is a proven formula for business success.
For a meaningful life you enjoy do the productive work giving you self-satisfaction!
